Prayer Shawl Ministry

Knitters and crocheters are needed to help in this ministry.  Shawls/lap robes will be created while praying for the recipient.  Beginner knitters/chrocheters are welcome and we will be happy to teach you how to knit or crochet.

Bring you needles/hooks and yarn to start your project or join us to find out more about this ministry.

Suggested materials:
Knitting - Needle size 11 or 13, approx. 555 yards of worsted weight (#4) yarn.
Crochet - Hook size M, N, or P, approx. 740 yards of worsted weight yarn.

For more information, call Debbie Frederick at 410-551-2198.

Prayer shawls are knitted or crocheted with prayers and healing intentions. These shawls are given to those in need of healing or comfort, people who are currently undergoing medical procedures, or are enduring a period of bereavement or distress. The shawls are blessed before they are sent on their way.

The prayer shawl ministry meets Thursdays at 7 pm upstairs in the church's back Sunday School Room. Beginners and those who wish to learn to knit and crochet are welcome.

Suggested materials and instructions for prayer shawls can be found at www.shawlministry.com.
